The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey is about inspiring yourself to succeed and to thrive in any environment and with any circumstances. Teens who read this book are able to better understand the world around them and better understand their place in it as well. This is all about what it takes to get from living an okay life to living an amazing life because it’s really not as difficult as many may think that it is. Teens can try out these tips and tricks quickly and easily and may be amazed at what they are able to accomplish.

Effective Teens

Throughout this book are stories and examples of real-life events from completely real teenagers. There are step-by-step guides of how to go about doing everything that a teenager could possibly need in order to make themselves into a success. Success won’t simply be handed to you, it has to be worked for and in order to work for it the teen needs to know what is going to set them up for the type of success that they want and need in their life.

Knowing the seven habits that will advance a teen to go beyond where they have been before and push them to even more is the first step to reaching that success. By understanding the habits that will keep them from that success it’s even more possible. That’s why this book includes a small section of 7 habits of defective teens so that they can understand the things they may be doing now that are actually setting them up for failure rather than setting them up for success. Thriving isn’t just about living live but about truly experiencing it for yourself.

Sean Covey is the son of the author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and has experienced many of the tips and tricks from that book tried out on himself. It makes him an excellent source for a book on being effective in the teen years and setting yourself up to be an effective person once you reach the adult years. Effective teens and effective people are better able to get the things that they want out of life and are better able to help themselves, their friends and family and their company to thrive rather than simply scraping by. Life is meant to be truly enjoyed after all.

Helping teens to understand what they should be doing to set themselves up for success in the future can be difficult. Whenever you try to tell them to do something they just think you’re being mean to them. Reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey actually helps them because it shows that you’re not just being mean, it shows that you’re trying to help them and it gives them someone else that’s trying to help them too. There are so many great ideas in this book and I really do believe those ideas will help teens to become better people.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens is based on the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Sean Covey is the son of the author from the first book and he thought that it was important to create a book for teens that showcased similar information that applied to them. This book is definitely great for teens both in its content and construction. It’s written in a way that appeals to teens and yet it conveys a lot of great information in a very small package. This book can help teens prepare themselves for success during their teen years and after as well.
