Soak Your Feet In Salty Water

Experts recommend that you should soak your feet in salt water as the salt will get rid of the moisture on the skin. When there is no moisture, the bacteria will have no environment to thrive in and thus will not release the reeking byproduct. Dissolve a good amount of salt in warm water and soak your feet for about 20 minutes. Repeat this process everyday for at least 2 weeks and you will notice the big difference.

Bathe Your Feet In Vinegar

The main aim in the treatment of smelly feet is to make sure that there is an inhospitable environment for the bacteria. Bathing your feet in vinegar will go a long way in creating an environment that the bacteria cannot thrive in. Mix two parts of water with one part of vinegar and soak your feet everyday for a week.

Your Feet Also Need A Cup Of Tea

Well, its not really a cup but you should invite your feet to tea and they will remain fresh. Tea contains acids which will contribute a great deal in the closing of the sweat pores on your feet. In addition to reducing the food for the bacteria, it will also act as an antibiotic and kill them. Boil ½ liters of water with tea for a bout 15 minutes and then add a liter of cool water. Soak your feet in the mixture for 30 minutes everyday for one week.

Shoes And Socks

Note that sometimes the odor is not necessarily caused by your feet but by the choice of socks and shoes you wear.

Socks

When buying socks, avoid materials such as nylon because they trap the sweat around your feet and this gives the bacteria enough food to mess up your day. Cotton is a great choice since it allows your feet to breathe and if you sweat more that the average person, then it is important to carry an extra pair.

Shoe Spray

If your shoes stink like the garbage truck or where they take the garbage, you should not throw them out just yet. Give them a good wash and then spray them with a disinfectant. The disinfectant should contain sanitizing agents such as ethanol which will kill the bacteria. Spray the shoes, then a pair of clean socks and leave them inside the shoes for maximum soaking.

Powder your Feet

Powder absorbs the moisture and will work like magic in keeping the bacteria hungry and your feet fresh. The tips above are simple home remedies for smelly feet and will go a long way in keeping your feet dry and odor-free. Now you can take off your shoes confidently without getting those queer looks from the people around you.
