Preview: Windows 10

As I already mentioned in my previous post in which I did a review on the subject of Windows 8.1, Microsoft announced the official release of Windows 10 late in 2015. Build versions of the product were released in October 2014 and November 2014, and last month (on January 23rd 2015) there was a Preview release. Microsoft offered even an Insider Program (the way they refer to it) “to help them shape up the Windows 10 experience for millions of people”. You can download the Windows 10 Technical Preview from Microsoft’s official web site and you get to send feedback about your experience with the 10, see the progress, have an impact on the process of finishing [...]

Review: Windows 8.1

Microsoft announced the release date of Windows 10 later in 2015, and before it’s official public release, let me do a retrospective review about its predecessor – Windows 8.1. Technically Windows 8.1 is an upgrade, but since even Microsoft refused to use this term, let’s say – update of the previously released Windows 8. Windows 8.1 is free for Windows 8 users and they didn’t even need to download it from the App Store cause it was planned as a regular update to their operating system. With the Surface, Windows has been shown to work its magic in a tablet device – a futuristic approach to personal computing. After two incremental updates, the Surface Pro 3 is the epitome of Microsoft’s vision for the PC. This is the review of the Surface Pro 3 tablet, a tablet that aims to replace your laptop sooner than later.

Xbox One review: A console that’s future-proof than ever

Microsoft has been hugely successful with the Xbox console franchise. In fact, its Xbox 360 proved itself to be the living room’s best all-in-one entertainment device. But with the technologies today, the 360 is on paving its way to legacy as the 10-year-old console has a fairly weak set of components than is expected for the future. Microsoft has took the big leap in the advancement of the Xbox with its release of the Xbox One – a gaming console that doesn’t just serve its purpose in gaming, but also to be the go-to all-in-one general entertainment device that centers your living space. This is the review of the Xbox One, Microsoft’s leap forward to the future of [...]
