Positives:

In terms of weight and thickness, it may not be the main reason to go for the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom product. However, its enhanced 4.8in Super AMOLED display is something you would consider before buying it.

The screen resolution is really great and fantastic. The AMOLED panels of this K Zoom screen have specific backlights meant for each pixel. Hence, they usually produce much deeper blacks and more precise colors. The smartphone can produce much richer colors than an average LCD screen.

The Galaxy K Zoom also has a studio app that allows the user to have a lot of control when editing photos. Even though the editing of video is controlled, they can still be trimmed because the K zoom spontaneously begins shoot once you switch to the video mode. Montage clips can be created up to 15 videos and photos taken through the Video Clip Studio. This gives the Samsung Galaxy K zoom a higher edge over the other Android camera apps.

Despite the limited storage facility, the microSD card slot becomes useful for large data storage. It provides an additional storage capacity of up to 64GB. The insertion of the card spontaneously switches the default storage of the camera location to the microSD card. However, Samsung file manager app can be used to move and copy files in between the two locations.

The Galaxy K Zoom ranks among the best and fastest phones around comparable to that of Samsung Galaxy S5. With a high processing power, the phone is also capable of having high web browsing performance. It has an excellent graphics performance. Most importantly, the phone has a longer battery life compared to most smartphones in the market today. It can last for up to 12 hours of uninterrupted video playback when the screen is set to 50% brightness. Therefore, the battery life is not anything to worry about.

Negatives:

While the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom is a great product, the peak brightness could be somehow lower when compared to other Samsung Galaxy products. However, the brightness is sufficient for external use. Again, there are some obscure picture modes such as Pro Suggest, Action Freeze, Shot & More and Virtual Tour. Another complaint could be the limited storage space without the MicroSD. You can only use about 5GB of the 8 GB that comes with it.

Final thoughts:

The Samsung Galaxy K Zoom is a great phone with a fantastic camera. It may not be a complete replacement of a high-end £400 compact camera but it is undoubtedly a good product for anyone who wants a great optical zoom and the ability to share photos instantaneously on social networks. It has no match. The default zoomed-out quality of the picture taken by this camera is almost the same as that of conventional 20-megapixel smartphone cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy K Zoom has been in the market for quite some time now. I hope my last review on the Infinix Alpha Marvel smartphone was of great help. Here, I will continue reviewing another electronic product for your consumption. This is a Samsung Galaxy camera phone with a fantastic optical zoom. Essentially, Samsung is not new to the world of smartphone-camera hybrids. In the recent past, Samsung has produced the Galaxy S4 Zoom and the Galaxy Camera that were perhaps more compact cameras than phones. The recent development of the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom has however, improved on these previous models.

The Galaxy K Zoom has the usual 1/2.3in sensor known to many users of Samsung products and the 10x optical zoom lens available in the Galaxy S4 Zoom. To develop this product, Samsung removed the lower hand grip and gave it a smoother and uniform chassis. This feature makes the product fit very well in the smartphone category. It is very comfortable to carry and use as a camera. The purchase price can be anything starting from £290 or there about. However, it depends on where you will buy it.
