Jet Airways India Ltd is an airline based in the Indian city of Mumbai and operates regional and international flights, in particular approximately 330 daily flights to 50 destinations in 7 countries (including India itself). Its hub is the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport of Mumbai, highlighting within their network the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, the Chennai International Airport, and the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose of Calcutta Airport, center of their operations in Europe.

The airline was founded as the operator of aero taxi services on April 1, 1992, not starting their commercial flights until May 5 of 1993 with a fleet of 4 Boeing 737-300. In January 1994, a legal reform allowed the airline to request the status of regular airline flights, which was granted on January 4, 1995. It began international operations in March 2004 with their first flights to Sri Lanka. After overcoming some difficulties, the company carried out the plan announced in January 2006 to be with its rival Air Sahara.

The company promises to make your flying experience extraordinary and operates two classes of service on their local routes, Economy and Premiere. While on global routes, the airline offers four styles of travel, specifically Economy Class, Cabin Class, First Class, and Premiere (Business) Class. All options offer sufficient leg room and space for a comfortable journey.

In-flight services include: hot meals on the flights are offered, in improved and entusiastic designer porcelain. The in-flight services crew ensure that cabin interiors are consistent with continuous quality check and we constantly endeavor to upgrade our product.

A Jet Premiere passenger has the privilege of selecting their seat at the time of booking. Even Economy passengers, now, holding confirmed tickets between India and all the international destinations (except Colombo and Kathmandu) can choose their seats.

The airline’s passengers can use the Tele Check-in facility to save time. All you have to do is call the special Tele check-in numbers at the airport up to 45 minutes before departure and confirm that you will be at the airport at least 30 minutes before the scheduled flight. The airline crew will keep the boarding card ready to expedite the passenger’s check-in.

Dining: Their passengers enjoy the comfort of a course-by-course personalized meal starting from hot refreshing soups to a variety of rich desserts.

The airline counts with its very own award-wining JetScreen, which is the airline’s in-flight entertainment system. JetScreen offers from the latest music albums to blockbuster movies, from the best games to award-winning TV shows which is a virtual feast of entertainment for their passengers!

The airline offers the in-flight magazine JetWings with an in-flight shopping catalogue called JetBoutique in case you feel in a reading mood instead.

I was so surprised of how excellent the flight was with Jet Airways! Very comfortable seats, great in-flight entertainment (they really have an extensive variety of entertainment to choose from), charming service from all the staff and the food was great. We were served beverages every time we wanted. At an affordable price, I think it’s great. On the flight from Mumbai to Bangkok we even got the chance to lie across 3 places to sleep. I recommend it for the price and the service it offers is more than I expected.
