Life Code: The New Rules for Winning in the Real World

by Giuseppe TovarNovember 13, 2013

In Life Code: The New Rules for Winning in the Real World, Dr. Phil McGraw exposes the harsh truth about the “bad guys” we all have in our lives. The six time New York Times Best Selling author also reveals the “bad guys” thought process and hoy they manage to exploit, use and abuse you and/or your loved ones. You will get an incredible vision of these negative people, who he refers to as Baiters, and he provides the tools to protect yourself from them. The new book by Dr. Phil shows you how to identify these people so you can see them coming from a long ways away. He exposes the 15 tactics they use to exploit and take what is yours on a mental, physical, social and professional plane. Life Code focuses on you and your strategies and contains:

16 awesome tactics to win in the real world.

In the first portion of the book, Dr. Phil identifies these so called bad guys and how we can detect and overcome them. It is immediately discernible, to anyone with some notion of psychology, that “the bad guys” he refers to are individuals with very specific personality disorders, but he refrains from labeling them that. He sort of lumps all of the personality types into one type of person that you really want to avoid. Dr. Phil shares clues about how to detect those types and how to act once you know you are facing on of them.

Dr. Phil obliges his readers to understand that there are genuinely evil people in the world.  Those who want to hurt you and your loved ones. Dr. Phil does clarify, of course, that not every one of these types wants to abuse and kill you. Some only want money, or your spouse. The point of the matter is these “bad guys” do not have a capacity for empathy. They could care less about what hurts you and you need to know that these people are out there. Dr. Phil details how he made an inventory of all those who had hurt him. He would place pieces of paper on his walls and would then use a marker to color and describe the strategy his aggressor used and how they managed to get Dr. Phil to lower his guard. Once the “bad guy analysis” was carried out, Dr. Phil identified a clear set of tip offs that should have been a red flag.

This book is about teaching you those red flags.

In the second portion of Life Code are the new rules to win in the world. Dr. Phil explains in absolute detail how you can stop being an easy mark, and how to behave whenever engaged in a heated discussion. He provides helpful tips for negotiating and some rules for upbringing children in our current world.

The best part of this book though, is the real-life examples shared. Everyone could benefit from reading this book.

Dr. Phil promoted Life Code on T.V. last week. He said the intent of the book was to warn people about the real evils in the world. The book is a little slow at first, but once he gets to the good part, it will have you in its clutches. I liked some of the extracts he used from the show, and don’t know anyone who does not have a BAITER in their life. Like the reviewer here says, the first part of the book talks about the bad guys and how to identify them. The second part is the new strategy of how to succeed in our current world.
